If you have seen a fan running in the house, you must have noticed that the fan rotates from the left side. But very few people know the reason behind this. Usually people use table fans or ceiling fans in their homes.
You must have noticed that the blades of a table fan always rotate towards the right. Whereas the blades of a ceiling fan always rotate towards the left, but do you know why this happens?
Let us tell you that a motor is required to rotate the fan. This motor has two parts. One is the motor itself and the other is the fan cover. The cover of the ceiling fan always remains stationary, while the motor always rotates in the left direction. The blades of the fan are attached to the motor, so the fan appears to rotate from the left.
On the other hand, a table fan is the opposite. In this, the fan motor remains stationary and the fan blades remain attached to the casing. The fan casing rotates to the right, hence the fan blades also rotate to the right.
Ceiling fans are often used in homes, whereas table fans are mostly used in offices. If the ceiling of the house is higher than eight feet, then a ceiling fan is better.
